I've been coming here for about 6 months. I'm very pleased with it, and I like the swimming pool, showers etc. I do agree with other reviews that staff are hit and miss though. Some of them are lovely, some are not. But I also really enjoy all their classes!
I kind of like it the place, quiet and really spacious, not like in others gyms, you really have a space for your workout especially if you want to work on machines or free space on mats. Small space on free weights but as a health club I think there is no need for it.

Absolutely love this gym. Sure the equipment isn't brand new or perfect / scratch-less - but it's by no means dangerous as mentioned in another comment; unless you haven't a clue what you're doing (for which they have personal trainers too in case you do need help). The treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, squat rack, free weights, cycling machines, and resistance machines (all of which I've used) are perfectly fine and I'm in and out of the gym in about an hour without having to wait to use anything. The price point is also great, which to be honest indirectly sets the expectation that of-course not everything is going to be 'luxurious' or perfect - if that's what you're after, I'm pretty sure David Lloyd or some other overpriced gym would be happy to take you on at double or triple the monthly cost. I love that this gym is raw and I hope it stays that way. Another perk is that there is ample parking, they also have squash courts and the staff are great. What in the world could you possibly need or want more from a gym. Thank you Richmond Olympus for creating a real gym, your improvements made thus far are also much appreciated.
I love this gym, I'm kind of shocked by the fact that other people have commented that they are "disgusted by this gym" or that it is I'm "dire need of an upgrade". I like the fact that it is low-key - and not flashy. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The monthly price is low which makes it great value. Classes are varied and mostly good.

Lovely gym, actually a pleasure going there and the staff are all super lovely (makes me happy to know they clearly get staff who are customer service inclined). The classes are of excellent quality and they finally pulled together and got us some parking space across the road. Down side; 1) A lot of men think it's OK to walk around in the changing room with their junk hanging out. yeh, i know we are all men and we've all seen it before, but I don't need to see yours and more importantly, some parents bring their kids. 2) Not a fan of the jacuzzi as it turns off a lot (it's meant to, guess conserving power and what not) and if you miss the bubbles, you have to wait a very long time, so I just don't use it. 3) Steam room is touch and go for it to work, but I guess having something run everyday must put strain on the machine. It probably needs a bit of an update or TLC. Regardless, Ive been going for almost 1 year and it's truly a very good club, I would highly recommend (unlike the Hammersmith one). All the kit is basically spanking new (again, unlike the Hammersmith one.)
Good local club, just let down by parking and the spa. The water jets are so weak it’s a waste of time and the 5 minute break between runs is a pain. Needs a refit ideally with a proper jacuzzi like other clubs, but I doubt that will happen.
