Advertising on these 2day websites is so much fun and easy too! No real bother to do. They are up and running in no time providing information about yourself, your charity, business or other.

The alternatives are daunting to various degrees:
  1. By Dreamweaver or some other software. A brave person to try it and endless permutations means it will likely take a long time to understand and always  having to make corrections.
  2. Sign up for a free website. Like Dreanweaver but easier! Step by step instructions will show how to fill in. Won't quite be able to do it exactly like wanted but will be moreorless as desired. A bit naff but okay. Everyone will know by the advertising and web address that it's free. A domain name & hosting can be bought to offset the latter but it will still be suspected it's free. That's no problem if only being used for information/curiosity, charity, etc. but no one will take it seriously being used for business.
  3.  Designed by professional webmaster. Apart for cowboys trying what they don't know it is usually excellent when done this way. But you have to know what is wanted. Also, costs for this are high.
Why not try option 4?  A webpage here on a 2day microportal website. It provides a presence on the web. Minimal expense: a simple webpage is £1 per week. Company information will be at centre. The microportal, as standard, gives access to lots of local information for both company staff & customers - see left. An advert can be put on the home page linking back to the page. Alternatively, if you have your own website, a link to this can be added. A photo and up to 400 words can be used. These mini websites can also be found on Google. All this just for £1 per week.

I am hoping that local businesses will see this as a really useful resource. Certainly, it will give credibility, support & help sponsor this Community Information Portal.

Lastly - I am planning to add my own webpage to the site to show what one can look like. Be patient, though, it could take a day or two for me to add the link!

By the way, in the photo - the Wood White is probably Surrey's rarest butterfly. Until the (introduced) Glanville Fritillary is officially recognised or the Wall Brown re-colonises at any rate! Setting up a webpage of your own is as easy as a butterfly flying on a warm day in summer.

This Microportal is built on the 2day Microportals platform which provides you with 3 click access to local and global information crucial both to your personal and working life. The platform provides live local data on transport, what's on, accommodation, eating out, shopping, sport, religion and weather as well as comprehensive reference and resource sections including TV, radio, online shopping, route planning, health, education and more.
