I'm very satisfied with services and good skilled staff which is always friendly, kind and helpful with any requests. Especially that Indian lady is making me feel welcome each time I'm going there.

Lloyds Bank

17 Heath Rd, Twickenham TW1 4AW, UK – 0345 300 0000

Pleasant and spacious and a nice place to visit. Somtimes somewhat short staffed.

Barclays Bank

8 George St, Richmond TW9 1JU, UK – 0345 734 5345

Very welcoming and has a very positive atmosphere! Loved my Work Experience and recommend it to everyone else! The staff are very kind and approachable! Would do it again if I could!

Helpful staff, but i was forced to go to Virgin Money for my mortgage for better rates and better terms. Shame, as I've banked with Barclays for over 10 years.

I was in a big trouble as my card was cloned, Helen helped me in everything I needed to sort out. Very friendly and competent. I highly recommend

Thank you for the friendly and competent service expertly delivered by BEN ROSE this early morning 09/10/2017 This branch employs lovely staff!

Local Chambers of Commerce for TW10 5HG. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
London Borough of Richmond upon Thames

Richmond Rd, Twickenham TW1 9SB, UK – 020 8891 1411

Good service and help, used to be better but due to the demand the service has been streamlined, appointments for new claims have to be booked though walk in is still available for updating claims.

Food Waste not collected. Went online to RUTC site, Waste Collection page, reported non-collection, informed waste would be collected within two working days. It wasn't. Don't waste your time reporting online. Call them instead.

Richmond upon Thames York House

Twickenham TW1 3AA, UK

This building's lift is an awesome 1960s Otis. You can become lost in here because you never know if a door is locked or not. This is annoying

Nice building

Townmead Road Re-use and Recycling Centre

Townmead Rd, Richmond TW9 4EL, UK – 020 8876 3281

I both live and work in west London disposing of both commercial and domestic waste at Townmead Road. As such I have extensive experience of commercial waste disposal and, without doubt, Townmead is by far the best of these facilities. The service is quick and the staff are always polite and friendly. It also amazes me that anyone should complain with first world comments such as 'there is a queue'. Get real mate, you don't know how lucky you are!

Fantastic service - very user friendly. The staff are friendly and very, very helpful. One member of staff in particular (guy with bright coloured hair) went above and beyond - helping me unload my car and dispose of my waste in the correct skips - thank you !! :)

Dental Surgeries

Oakleigh House Dental Practice

567 London Rd, Isleworth TW7 4EJ, UK – 020 8560 4623

I have been a patient with Mr Baig for over 30 years and am very happy with the practice and the staff. Mr Baig is always happy to explain the various options to your treatment and talks you through the actual treatment itself putting you at great ease. Please never leave Oakleigh House Dental! Highly recommend the practice.

I have been a patient at the Oakleigh House Dental Practice for many years and have always received the best possible treatment and care. My dentist and his assistant operate to the highest professional standards offering regular check-ups and appropriate treatment when needed. Dental procedures are always clearly explained and the pricing system is transparent; alternative prices dependant on the type of treatment I choose. The hygienists are thorough and informative; reception staff are pleasant and efficient and the overall environment is one of informality and kindness. I am enthusiastic in my praise and cannot recommend this Practice enough.

Sirha Dental Practice

368 Upper Richmond Rd W, London SW14 7JU, UK – 020 8392 1953

Dr Harry explains everything so well, it is like visiting an old friend. He provides straightforward advice and I never feel rushed into making any decisions. I used to fear going to the dentist but now it is all different, no worries about going at all, he manages to do everything from cleaning to fillings with no pain. Furthermore, visits never seem to cost very much money either. He has a great team around him and great plans for the future. A great asset to East Sheen!

Would definitely recommend this dentist. Offered good advice and information on dental health and puts you at your ease if you have any anxieties. He doesn't try to oversell on anything or prey on any insecurities unlike another dentist my husband went to in the area who tried to sell him botox.

Sheen Dental Clinic

152 Upper Richmond Rd W, London SW14 8DP, UK – 020 8876 5277

Very reassuring and positive. I was very anxious and distressed; it had taken a great deal of courage to go approach a dentist after 4 years of putting it off. I had become phobic not of pain or procedure but of dentists themselves! Dr Kalsi and Lisa were so calm and understanding and I am confident that I will now see this treatment through its conclusion. I am already able to smile openly and feel more confident in myself. It is very expensive - I have very slight reservations about how much I am paying, but ultimately, my peace of mind is worth it.

I have had extensive work done by Dr Kelsi over the past 12months. For over 10 years I have had problems with my teeth with consistent tooth ache of varying degrees. I can say with confidence that my teeth are now in the best condition they have been in a long time. Dr Kelsi is a true professional both in terms of capability alongside his calm and patient nature which leaves you feeling reassured that you are in safe hands.

Dr Jezierski & Partners

Sheen Lane Health Centre, Sheen Lane, London, East Sheen SW14 8LP, UK – 020 8876 3901

This really is a great GP service. Great doctors, consistently helpful advice and most importantly, offering a range of appointment options based on the needs of the patients.

Kew Medical Practice

14 High Park Rd, Kew, Richmond TW9 4BH, UK – 020 8487 8292

Helpful staff, very quick turnaround time on visits to GP. Can't ask for any more.

All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful and the service is excellent.

Twickenham Park Surgery

17 Rosslyn Rd, Twickenham TW1 2AR, UK – 020 8892 1991

Great doctors, although there has been a high turnover recently, however the reception staff really let the place down; not at all helpful and often quite brusque. Booking an appointment is a joke, there are meant to be slots released on the day from 8.30am but it is impossible to get through on the phone.

Registered here from 2 years. Find it to be well maintained and the staff are nice. The Doctors sometimes keep changing frequently though.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

West Middlesex University Hospital

Twickenham Rd, Isleworth TW7 6AF, UK – 020 8560 2121

Attended the A & E Thurday a.m. Fantastic. My elderly mum was extremely well cared for in a unit that was under pressure from a high level of incidents. All her immediate needs were dealt with in a caring and very professional manor. The staff were so kind both doctors and nurses kept us informed. With the volume of people they treat they always managed a smile. Well done and thank you NHS in such circumstances where your department is so over stretched.

Good Clean hospital A& E can be very busy 3 plus hours. Consultants can be very busy with long waiting time. Car park can be busy. If you can get parked. Allow plenty of time to park. Bus service to hospital is good

Barnes Hospital

Helpful and friendly staff there. A spacious place and one could feel warmly received.

Moorfields Eye Hospital

Teddington Memorial Hospital, Hampton Rd, Teddington TW11 0JL, UK – 020 8725 1794

Its one of the best hospital in London. Nurses and Doctors are very good as they will give you enough time to see you and explain you everything in detail that is why some time you have to wait for 2 to 3 hours. Its very easy to get their as Baker street station is close by. Signs in the baker street station are very clear - Subway 4 for Moorfield eye hospital.

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!

Sue Ryder

76-80 Heath Rd, Twickenham TW1 4BW, UK – 020 8892 8359

Lovely staff. They sell furniture and will collect good quality donations and deliver purchases. Lots of videos and crockery. Cheap, with potential bargains. Not much in the Menswear section.

Largest charity shop in Twickenham, you can find almost everything, furniture, clothing, books, kitchenware, movies, etc. at unbelievable prices. Personnel is always helpful and polite.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Ham

Pizza Express

Lion House, Red Lion St, London TW9 1RE, UK – 020 8948 7460

Food was good but service was somewhat lacking. Took a long time for tea and ice-cream when there was only 2 other tables.

Very welcoming to families but it's quite noisy since they updated it. Usually have good offers on. The staff can be a little tricky to pin down when it's busy. It's the usual Pizza Express fare which is pretty good.

Quality Fish Restaurant

11 King St, Richmond TW9 1NF, UK – 020 8948 4171

We usually visit this restaurant for Plaice and chips as it is usually fresh and delicious to eat, especially as a take away down by the river. Our recent visit 15 July 2017 was no exception to a fresh tasting crispy battered piece of plaice, with freshly cooked chips. They do not always get it right on the odd occasion but we can forgive them for the days when it is usually excellent. Their internal restaurant needs attention to be even considered suitable to sit and eat (Chef Ramsey should pay it a visit, though it is usually busy). It has a run down feel to it, there is an unpleasant odour and the waitress staff are inattentive. On this recent visit one of the two waitresses was just happy to stand and chat with a visiting friend instead of serving. We eventually decided to take the order as a take away and sit in the fresh air. The front chefs are excellent, fast, efficient and friendly and we highly recommend the food but not the sit in area. We found the owner / manager very friendly and accommodating on our visits.

Fantastic authentic 1970's fish and chip restaurant. Good food. Good prices. Takes me back to my childhood. Great for lunches.

The Gurkha's Inn Nepalese Restaurant

25 York St, Twickenham TW1 3JZ, UK – 020 8892 4505

Our new favourite curry house! Good food, professional, friendly staff who make you very welcome, and very competitively priced. We've paid far more locally for very average food whereas everything we've had at the Ghurka's has been excellent – freshly prepared and nice and hot. The Sunday lunch menu is great value too (£10?). Take-aways have all been delivered quickly too and food has been just as good as when we eat in. Highly recommended.

Best food ever! Service was friendly, clean place and decent sized portions. Went as a party of five we did book ahead, it tends to be busy. We ordered two sides, three mains and a mixed grill which was a great amount

Great Nursery for 6months-5years

Annie's Nest Preschool & Nursery

63 Holly Rd, Twickenham TW1 4HF, UK

All 3 of my girls have attended Annies Nest over the years and we have been delighted with it. It is an independent nursery rather than a massive chain and to me that makes a real difference. Annie and Kenny have created a nurturing, creative and inspiring environment. They are very selective about the staff they employ, in order to maintain the unique 'culture' and atmosphere of 'Annie's' and this really shows. Staff seem to stay a long time and they all seem very attentive, engaged and full of creativity and passion for the job they do. My youngest is about to leave and we will be sad to be leaving Annie's Nest.

Wow. What a place. Our first son Lochie spent 3.5 years here and we were incredibly sad when it was time to leave. Our second son Miller is here now and also loving it so we are very happy. The kindest, most caring, bright, lovely, warm, thoughtful bunch of people. We only have amazing things to say about Annie's Nest and are so grateful to all of he staff. Thank tyou Annie and Kenny. If you can get yourself a place here, you'll be very happy. Henry & Cara x

Canbury was the best thing that ever happened to me. I struggled in a big school and Canbury opened so many doors for me. The teachers are lovely and the pastoral care is brilliant. Thank you Canbury. I would also like to add that Freya's review is the furthest thing from the truth! I was at Canbury when she was there - this is so wrong.
